Oxidation is evidenced by a thickening of the oil and the oxidation rate is accelerated by blow-by. STEWARD Ultimate Truck Oil controls this in two ways: (1) When it coats the cylinder walls it slows oil burning and lowers the rate of blow-by. (2) The extra detergent additives keep the combustion acids separated much longer.
